1) I noticed quite a few changes in our plant as we checked up on it today. First off, it grew taller. The official stems of the plant grew in and it looks greener. The leaves have started to develop and grow bigger to a reasonable size for the actual plant. Everything from the stem to the tip of the leaves, have gotten way thicker and tougher (mostly the stem). It definitely hasn't grown to its full size, as it is still looking small. But if for sure grew.2) The way that our plant "interacts" with the water cycle by drinking the water that is precipitated or fed to them by either the sky or our watering can. The water is one of the main reasons my plants looked different this week. The main sources are oxygen, water ad sunlight. The water helped the plant grow thicker and taller, which were the biggest changes I noticed in the plant.
3) The plants take in the carbon we breathe out. It's basically feeding them, what we don't breathe in. All plants do it, including trees. We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide, then the producers absorb that carbon. Animals also let out carbon. Carbon is fuel to the plants and help make it's food, which is why the leaves and new stem looked so thick and wide.
4) Nitrates contain Nitrogen. The plants are able to take in this from water they get from their roots. It travels from their roots into their systems. That's how Nitrogen gets into the plants. When the animals eat the plants, they pass it along the food chain. It helps build proteins which let the producers make food and also help the plant continue to grow. Nitrogen, along with Carbon, water, sunlight and oxygen are what help make our cabbage grow taller and tougher. The levaes get wider and thicker as well.
